Shine’s company and culture are a lot like our name. A commitment to growth through learning, a desire to deliver excellent teaching with a single focus to let our student’s ‘shine’
Expert teaching. Carefully crafted curriculum. Building confident learners. Real progress across multiple subjects – with fun along the way
We are committed to every child’s learning journey. We take the time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and aspirations, providing guidance that truly makes a difference.
We understand the pressures students face, the expectations parents hold, and the demands of the educational process. This insight shapes everything we do, ensuring support is meaningful, practical, and tailored.
We aim for excellence at every level—whether it’s our curriculum, the learning process, the student experience of each lesson, or the student’s performance. Our goal is to help every child achieve their potential and thrive academically, confidently, and sustainably.
Our journey
You don’t need a big agency to get results. Our streamlined process delivers a bespoke website true to your brand
Shanghai Maths embodies the belief that every child can do well if they are taught well. The Shanghai Maths approach has attracted widespread public attention since.
At the core of Shanghai Maths principles is the belief that children learn better when a topic is fully explored and taught in depth.Â
We believe small group lessons are more effective than one-on-one tutoring or teaching in larger groups, as it allows everyone to.

Shine was founded with a mission to deliver high-quality, engaging academic support for students. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, all classes were delivered online via Zoom. The initial programme focused on 11+ Mathematics preparation, helping students build strong problem-solving foundations during a challenging period for education.
Following strong demand from families, Shine expanded its Mathematics offering to include younger students in Years 1–2 and Years 4–6. During this year, we also launched our first holiday courses to support students preparing for the Primary Maths Challenge (PMC), introducing competition-style problem solving into our curriculum.

Our Mathematics programme was extended to cover all primary year groups, providing a continuous learning pathway throughout primary school. In addition, we introduced an English programme for 11+ students, supporting reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and exam technique for selective school entrance exams.
